Digital green certificates compatible with those in the EU are available at e-government website as of Nov. 16, Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Minister Tatjana Matic has said.

“During this week, a mobile application will also be made available, which means that citizens will be able to download digital green certificates via mobile devices. As of next Monday, certificates that are valid in the EU can be collected in offices of state postal company Posta Srbije,” Matic told the Nov. 16 issue of Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.

According to Matic, these certificates will enable holders to enter catering venues, movie theaters and shops across Europe, while old certificates will remain in use in Serbia and will be issued in the future.

Matic stressed that the acceptance of vaccines depended on each EU member state. She added that at the moment, Hungary did not require vaccine certificates for people entering the country and that those vaccinated with Russian and Chinese jabs could travel to Greece. Matic also said that certain countries required vaccines accepted by the World Health Organization or the European Medicines Agency.
