Journalist Srdjan Skoro on Dec. 28 said that since he had announced he would run for president in the vote due next April, he had not been given any media coverage.

“If I was long ago banned from pro-Vucic media, then the question is what has been happening with other media outlets that are not controlled by the regime. If there exists some order or a tacit agreement to ignore me and my candidacy, then the depth of the mud journalism has sunk into is truly concerning,” Skoro told BETA.

He further said that the situation would be even more horrible if media outlets did not feel the need to ask him anything or say something. Skoro stressed that it was most important to cast ballots in the April 3 elections next year and that it would not be important whether there would be one or more presidential candidates.

“A change, even a rebellion is every single vote against the incumbent regime. By deciding to run for president I am giving an opportunity to many undecided and disappointed voters to have someone to vote for,” Skoro said. He added that during his election campaign he would advocate curbing corruption and employment based on political affiliation.
