Businessman and Farmakom B concern owner Miroslav Bogicevic has signed an agreement on selling his stake in the Politka Novine i Magazini company with Novosti owner Boban Rajic, the Dec. 30 edition of the Nova newspaper said.

The Russian East Media Group, which is owned by Bogicevic, is selling its 50 percent stake in Politika for slightly more than EUR8 million, while the contract is supposed to be signed after the holiday or by late January next year.

Bogicevic told Nova that the sale had not been completed yet, that the owners of Novosti had not said anything yet and that there were even several foreigners who were interested in buying the company, however the paper said that it had learned unofficially that a deal has been reached with Novosti owner Boban Rajic.

"Essentially, everything has been arranged and the details are being ironed out. The deal has been reached and needs to be carried out. What is being sold and bought is known as well as the deadlines. All of this needs to be put on paper and a contract signed. Only after that can we say that it is a done deal," the paper quoted a source as saying.

Rajic will become the owner of a 50 percent stake in the Politika Novine i Magazini company, which among other things includes a printing company and publishes the Politika newspaper, Nova reported.
