The Embassy of Serbia in Ukraine is temporarily closed as of March 3 with the aim of protecting the safety of its staff, who will be performing their duties from Belgrade until conditions for their return to Kiev are fulfilled, the Serbian Foreign Ministry has stated.

The three diplomats and one embassy clerk have been evacuated safely. They also have on their disposal the embassies of Serbia in the countries neighboring Ukraine for any assistance and cooperation.

Already on Feb. 13, the Serbian Foreign Ministry advised all Serbian citizens in Ukraine to consider the possibility of a temporary relocation from its territory, and those who were planning to travel to Ukraine – to postpone their journeys.
