In the period from Feb. 25 to March 9, 6,784 citizens of Ukraine entered Serbia and 5,721 left, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin stated on March 10.

Speaking at the session of the Working Group for solving the issue of mixed migrations, Vulin said that "no massive inflow of citizens of Ukraine has been observed in Serbia so far," the Interior Ministry has stated.

"The persons who performed the registration of residence have done so mostly at private addresses. Therefore, they are people who have found assistance and shelter with their relatives and friends," he said, adding that the relevant organs in Serbia "do not expect a significant inflow of people from Ukraine" for the time being.

The session also discussed the current situation in Ukraine and adopted the plan of admission of citizens of Ukraine and of the vulnerable people who have left that country. The participants also considered and defined the ways in which Serbia would be solving the problems of migration caused by the crisis in Ukraine.
