Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic on April 26 said that Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti “is absolutely not interested in the dialogue” with Belgrade, adding that Kurti “has been orchestrating provocations” with the aim to trigger unrest and instability in the region.

“He calls for the creation of a Greater Albania which existed only in the time of Hitler,” Selakovic told TV Pink. Selakovic, who on several occasions called Kurti “a small Balkan Hitler,” said that for the Kosovo premier “lies come first,” among which “is the lie that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic organized a rally of support to Russia in Belgrade,” although, according to Selakovic, the rally had been organized by Vucic’s political opponents.

Asked about Emmanuel Macron’s victory in the recent presidential vote in France, Selakovic recalled Vucic’s congratulation letter to Macron, underlining the sentence in which Vucic had expressed his belief that Macron’s reelection as French president had implied that “Serbia-France relations are on a good path of reaching a new stage.”

Commenting on the elections in Slovenia, Selakovic said that Belgrade remained committed to developing good friendly relations with Ljubljana, adding he was convinced that the tradition of holding joint government sessions would continue.
