On May 3, Serbia will lift all COVID-19 related entry restrictions for Serbian nationals and all incoming travelers, the Serbian government has said in a release.

“As of May 3, Serbian and foreign nationals regardless of their country of origin can enter Serbia without having to provide COVID-19 proof – PCR or rapid antigen test, recovery or vaccination certificate upon their arrival,” according to the release.

The government further said that the decision to permit restriction-free entry to Serbian and all foreign nationals had been made based on the current epidemiological situation in the country and in accordance with decisions of most countries in Europe and the region.

“This decision does not mean that the coronavirus pandemic is over nor that citizens should stop taking care of their health. Indoor mask use is recommended and masks are still required in healthcare settings,” it is said in the release.

According to the government’s decision, COVID-19 outpatient services and testing and vaccination centers will continue to operate.
