President of the European Council Charles Michel in Pristina on June 15 said that Kosovo should focus on the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue and implementation of all so far reached agreements.
Speaking at joint news conference after meeting Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Michel welcomed Pristina’s position on imposing and implementing sanctions against Russia. “We had an opportunity to discuss relations between the EU and Kosovo and say that the Western Balkans is a strategic partner. We welcome Kosovo’s focus on implementing reforms and key issues, such as the rule of law. We also discussed visa liberalization. I carefully listened to all the arguments presented and you know that this issue must be decided by the EU member states. It should be noted that Kosovo’s focus should be on the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and all the agreements should be implemented,” Michel specified.
Osmani said that Kosovo was the most pro-European country in Europe and that a united Europe was incomplete without Kosovo and the Western Balkans. She stressed that no one was more than Kosovo devoted to the values and freedoms advocated by the EU, adding that Kosovo’s commitment to EU membership was unwavering.
