On June 29 in Belgrade, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic expressed her hope that Montenegrin PM Dritan Abazovic’s visit to Serbia will represent a step “toward rebooting” relations between their respective countries.

“I hope we will manage to reboot relations between Serbia and Montenegro and enter an era of good relations, of the best possible [relations],” Brnabic told the press after meeting with Abazovic in the Serbian capital.

“No one is closer to us in political, economic [terms] nor in terms of people – we share all kinds of ties, yet many unresolved and difficult issues have accumulated [between us],” Brnabic said, adding that Serbia is open to solving said problems and improving relations.

According to her, the most important matters discussed at the meeting were cooperation with regards to food, fuel and infrastructure.
