A total of 15 caucuses were set up in Serbia’s new parliament on Aug. 2.

The new parliament convened for its constitutive session on Aug. 1 to verify mandates of members of parliament, while the election of parliament speaker and deputy speaker and working bodies is on the agenda on Aug. 2.

The ruling Serbian Progressive Party will nominate Vladimir Orlic, the former deputy speaker, for the post of parliament speaker.

MPs are expected to vote no later than on Aug. 3 and thereby bring the session to a close.
