Serbian Radical Party leader Vojislav Seselj on Sept. 27 refused to attend a hearing at the Special Court in Belgrade on the Hague Tribunal charges of contempt of court, explaining that the Hague Prosecution had not allowed his legal advisor Vjerica Radeta to be present in courtroom.

“I requested that Radeta entered the courtroom together with me. They refused, so there was no hearing. There exists a document of the Serbian prosecution saying that I can be accompanied by a legal counsel, but they did not allow it,” Seselj said outside the court building in Belgrade.

On Sept. 27, Seselj was to be questioned about releasing confidential documents and information about protected witnesses, whom he had branded as “false.”

“I have decided to make public all the Hague documents in my case and I have already published around 50 documents. Those are statements of protected witnesses and confidential documents,” Seselj said, stressing that he had published names of all witnesses to leave some historical sources.
