The president of the Serbian Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Borko Stefanovic, stated on Oct. 13 that he would submit a conclusion, after the forming of the government, with a request for Serbia to harmonize its foreign policy with that of the European Union, pertaining to "restrictive measures, that is sanctions against the Russian Federation."

Stefanovic told Television N1 that, after the document is submitted, "there will be opportunities for all parties in the Parliament to declare their stance and arguments 'for' and 'against' the imposing of sanctions on the Russian Federation, i.e. the Kremlin regime."

"We will make the proposal in coordinative form," said Stefanovic, who is an official of the Freedom and Justice Party, adding that this would be the opportunity "for the ruling majority from the Progressive Party to declare a clear stance and to no longer hide behind false political neutrality, which does not exist, because only military neutrality is possible."
