Minister Vucevic denied that MiG-29s have been assigned this task, adding that the fighter jets “have simply been patrolling Serbian airspace.” “The Army can use artillery and other means to respond to [drones],” he said.

Vucevic explained that, so far, all the drones have come from two directions in Kosovo, following the perimeter of the Ground Safety Zone with “occasional ventures into Serbia proper and attempts to scout the distribution of Serbian military units and certain facilities.”

The minister added that the Army “received reports” that drones were spotted not only in the district of Raska but also in the districts of Toplica and Nisava.

In response to claims by the Pristina media that the Army of Serbia is accumulating forces along the administrative boundary with Kosovo, the minister explained that these allegations are false and that the Serbian military is currently conducting exercises titled Manevri 22 in the entire country.
