Miroslav Aleksic, the vice president of the People’s Party, has stated that Pristina’s demand that all Kosovo Serbs transition to Kosovo-issued vehicle license plates is a non-issue that has been “blown out of proportion” by President Aleksandar Vucic to mask Vucic’s surrender of authority to the Kosovo government by presenting it as a hostile takeover.

“While Vucic is sending [fighter] jets to combat drones, there is, in fact, no problem,” Aleksic said.

“I have been in both the north and the south of Kosovo and Metohija the last time [license plates were an issue]. I visit there once a month and there is none of what the media in central Serbia claim is happening. Aside from their problems with Albanians, our people in Kosovo and Metohija have the most problems with the Serb Ticket – which blackmails and harasses them. They can’t get a job or even firewood unless they’re Serb Ticket members,” Aleksic maintained.

According to him, the Serb Ticket is “a criminal organization that is holding the people hostage” and, instead of helping local Serbs, is the one making them flee Kosovo and Metohija.
