Mali: 2019 Budget Balanced, Salary and Pension Increase, More Investments

The Party of Freedom and Justice said on Nov. 22 that Finance Minister Sinisa Mali had cut budget funding of the University of Belgrade for 2020 by RSD525 million.

"False doctor Sinisa Mali publicly bragged that he would tear up his doctoral dissertation and write a new one, whereas in his office he cowardly reduced budget support to the University of Belgrade by 525 million dinars," read a party press release.

According to the party, Mali has abused his office and "taken revenge" on the University by slashing the funds from RSD19.24 billion to 18.71 billion.

"By making this desperate move, the false doctor has only confirmed that he does not belong in any public office, nor do the other government members who voted in favor of this kind of budget. There is no development budget that reduces funds meant for high education and the future of youth and that is why budget support must be given back to the University of Belgrade," the Party of Freedom and Justice underlined.
