There were 304 newly infected with the coronavirus in Croatia in the past 24 hours, raising the number of active cases to 2,420, the National Civil Defense Headquarters announced on Aug. 27.

There are 194 people in hospitals, 13 of them on ventilators, while two people have died. Since Feb. 25, when the first case was registered in Croatia, a total of 9,192 have been registered as infected with the coronavirus, 177 of whom have died, while 6,595 have recovered.

In North Macedonia, seven more people died from the coronavirus, while 89 new cases were registered, the Health Ministry announced on Aug. 27. According to the statement, the total number of fatalities from COVID-19 rose to 585, and the total number of confirmed cases since the start of the epidemic is 14,004.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 11 people died from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities since the start of the epidemic to 577, while there were 311 newly infected. A total of 18,766 people have contracted the virus since the start of  the epidemic in Bosnia.
