The Democratic Party of Socialists is ready for post-election talks with potential partners, but not with those who have, as the party stated, mixed religion and politics, it was stated in Podgorica on Sept. 2.

"These will primarily be the parties with which it has formed the parliamentary majority before, because we believe that pro-European bloc to possess the strength and determination to continue the work we have started," the party has stated.

The Democratic Party of Socialists has clearly stated that it had nothing to talk about "with those who have mixed religion and politics at this election, who are dragging us back to the past and poison us with the Greater Serbian nationalism, which recognizes no place for the Montenegrin state and the Montenegrin name," it was stated.

The three opposition tickets – the coalition around the Democratic Front, headed by Professor Zdravko Krivokapic, until recently an unknown figure in the public, the coalition around the Democratic Montenegro of Aleksa Becic, and the coalition around the URA Movement of Dritan Abazovic, have the majority to form the government, i.e. 41 of the 80 seats in the parliament.
