Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Sarajevo on Aug. 27 that he and the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina had discussed developments in the Balkans and agreed that economic growth should be stepped up.

Erdogan told a news conference that he was glad to be in Sarajevo again and that he felt at home there, adding that Turks held Bosnia close to their hearts. He went on to say that Turkey and Bosnia wanted to increase trade to one billion euros.

Erdogan further stated that Turkey had affirmed its support for Bosnia's bid to join NATO and its sovereignty, adding that it would continue to work to preserve regional stability.

Zeljko Komsic, chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that he and the presidency's other two officials had reached an agreement with the Turkish president to hold a third trilateral meeting of representatives from Bosnia, Turkey and Serbia in Bosnia.
