Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic visited KFOR's base on the second day of his official visit to Kosovo.

"Preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans is of key importance to the overall stability of Europe. The KFOR mission holds a special place and role in this," Djukanovic tweeted.

Djukanovic said that at this time of the biggest challenges to European and Euro-Atlantic security, Montenegro remained a reliable and responsible ally and contributor to regional security.

During Djukanovic's first official visit to Kosovo, Pristina Mayor Perparim Rama handed him on May 18 the "keys to the city" as an expression of the exceptional gratitude of Pristina's citizens and the people of Kosovo for what he had done for the country in its history.
