The European Union's high representative for foreign policy and security, Josep Borrell, and the EU enlargement commissioner, Oliver Varhelyi, are to begin their two-day visit to Montenegro on July 14, where they will take part in the session of the EU-Montenegro Stabilization and Association Council and meet with top officials of the country.
The visit is an opportunity to consider the bilateral relations between the EU and Montenegro in the context of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, and to discuss the recent events in Montenegro and in the Western Balkans, the European External Action Service (EEAS) has announced.
In Podgorica, Borrell will preside over the 11th Stabilization and Association Council of the EU and Montenegro. Montenegro will be represented by Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, and the European Commission by the commissioner for enlargement and neighborhood, Oliver Varhelyi.
