The Brussels portal Politico has asked the question about who could still trust "the EU's promises... which declared that it would adopt an important decision for the Balkans by October" and the Union's members now failed to agree about the start of negotiations with Skopje and Tirana, and quoted Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as saying that he would not trust them anymore.

Politico conveyed Vucic's tweet, reading: "I was there when Federica Mogherini promised Zoran Zaev that, as soon as the name issue is solved, the negotiations would start by the end of that year. That did not happen and will not happen. And what can we expect regarding Kosovo?"

Imagine being in the shoes of the prime minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, and having exposed yourself to great internal risks in order to fulfill the conditions set by the EU leaders, Politico reported.

"Why would you trust the EU's promises, especially when given by the EU's leaders?" the portal from Brussels wondered.
