Employers in Republika Srpska have called on the RS government to disburse minimum wages and contributions and taxes for May for nearly 8,000 workers, which requires KM4.50m from the entity’s budget, according to the Nezavisne Novine.

The RS government has passed a decision, according to which legal entities and enterprises, banned from doing business until May 11, are allowed to pay taxes and contributions for disbursed wages using funds taken from the RS Compensation Fund.

Also, the government has decided to pay the minimum wage and contributions for May to workers employed in legal entities and enterprises, which were banned from operating until at least May 12.

“By June 30, we received 2,241 requests for the payment of KM2.02m in taxes and contributions for wages disbursed to 4,613 workers employed in legal entities and enterprises, which were banned from operating until May 11,” the Tax Authority has said.
