For Montenegrin Passports 31 Requests Handed in as Part of Economic Citizenship Program

The Montenegrin Investment Agency has so far filed 31 applications for citizenship through an economic citizenship program.

Ten of the 31 applications, which passed security checks, are being finalized by the Interior Ministry, Pobjeda was told by the Agency.

The decision on economic citizenship took effect on Jan. 1, 2019. “So far not a single Montenegrin passport has been issued, given the epidemiological situation which resulted in the closing of international borders,” the Agency explained, stressing that the recipients of the passports would not be named in accordance with the Law on Protecting Personal Information.
