European Commission Approves Fortenova Group, Mercator Concentration

The European Commission has approved a concentration that will give the Fortenova Group control over the Ljubljana Mercator business system, a Sept. 22 statement said. 

The request filed in the territories of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia with local regulatory bodies for protecting competition and all of the national-level bodies in these countries, except for the Serbian Commission for Competition, have approved the concentration, Mercator said in a statement. 

Mercator runs the IDEA and Roda retailers in Serbia.
