Cadez: Open Balkan, CIF Pushing Region Forward

Regional initiatives such as the Open Balkan and the Western Balkan 6 Chamber Investment Forum (WB6 CIF) are the best way for strengthen economic cooperation and growth of Western Balkan economies, improve the business climate, attract foreign investments and increase employment, as well as an effective response to the great challenges faced by global economy, the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, stated in Ohrid on July 21, where he visited the company Kostal Makedonija.

"It is exactly this company, its products – highly complex electrical parts for the world's automotive industry, and suppliers from the region, that are the best proof of what regional economic cooperation means," Cadez stated, as quoted by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The president of the Commerce Chamber of North Macedonia, Branko Azeski, said that top-level political support was important for European integration in the Western Balkans, adding that WB6 CIF was supported by the EU through various projects and support programs to small and medium enterprises.

A session of the Managing Board of WB6 CIF was held in the company Kostal Makedonija, discussing topics pertaining to the strengthening of regional cooperation. This regional chamber rallies six commerce chambers of the Western Balkans and represents around 350,000 businesses, mostly small and medium enterprises.
