A rise in the use of e-banking during the coronavirus pandemic has supported the development of Serbia's IT sector, opening new opportunities for the work and professional development of Serbian programmers, Serbia's Enjoy.ing software company said on Sept. 28.

The company employing more than 250 software experts in Nis, Kragujevac and Belgrade said in a press release that a rough estimate indicated that e-banking services had doubled since the beginning of the year, alongside the global need for Serbian developers.

"We can see in this company alone that demand for software engineers developing e-banking solutions has grown considerably. A mere six months since the pandemic broke out, demand for Java and Javascript programmers, those developing e-banking solutions and experts in manual and automatic testing has multiplied," an Enjoy.ing representative, Mirjana Parpura Djordjevic, explains, adding that Serbia's IT sector has been classified as one of the top three in the world.
