The international Merkle software company announced on March 31 that this year it would focus on forming strong software teams in Serbia, due to which it planned on hiring new employees which will increase the number of positions from 130 to 200 for highly qualified software engineers.

"For some time now Serbia has been one of the most attractive locations for development as part of the Merkle Dach Group, primarily owing to the large number of exceptionally well-educated software engineers which is why we have decided to take things a step further and establish a regional presence in the country. Since our arrival in Serbia, the Belgrade office has been constantly noting an increase in employees," new company CEO for Serbia Ivan Isailovic was quoted as saying in a statement.

The company recalled that it was one of the world's foremost digital agencies that was created after the merger of the Namics and the Swiss Isobar agencies, while Namics had been present in Serbia since 2014. Together, they are part of the multinational Dentsu Aegis group which has over 66,000 employees in 146 countries around the world.
