Serbian Public Debt Equals 52% of GDP

Serbia’s public debt at the end of September 2019 equaled EUR23.94 which is 52% of GDP. According to the Ministry of Finance’s website the public debt at the end of September grew slightly on the month when it equaled EUR23.83bn and when its share in GDP was 51.9%.

At the end of 2018 the public debt equaled EUR23.01 which is 53.8% of GDP. The lowest percentage of the public debt in GDP of 28.3% was recorded in 2008 while the highest recorded amount was 201.2% of GDP in 2000.
