Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced last week that the U.S. would soon impose sanctions on the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) due to it being majority owned by Russia. Washington has neither confirmed nor denied that it would sanction the company, which would carry major repercussions and place Serbia in an unenviable position.
