The protests of students, who are blocking dozens of state-run faculties, have continued to spread throughout Serbia, despite the fact that President Aleksandar Vucic has in previous days made numerous moves in a bid to diminish the youth’s rebellion. Vucic has been trying to create the impression that he has fulfilled all the demands made by the students and keeps insisting every day that he has done so, whereas the students are rightly dismissing that interpretation. The two sharply opposed sides are firm in their positions and are not indicating a readiness to make concessions, which is why a way out of this stalemate is nowhere in sight.
