So far, 118 cases of the novel coronavirus have been registered in Serbia, the Ministry of Health said on March 20, adding that 15 more people have been infected since the previous report.

Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said on March 20 that in the second night of curfew 154 individuals were arrested for violating the measure, but that the night was relatively peaceful.

Stefanovic confirmed that as of 8 a.m. all of Serbia's border crossings are closed for passenger traffic. "No one will be able to enter the territory of Serbia. That is a necessary measure. It is strict, it is hard - but it is important for protecting the population," said the minister.

The ban on movement and closing of border crossings have been introduced in Serbia as measures during the state of emergency, declared in Serbia due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
