EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell on April 1 hailed a decision of the Kosovo government to fully lift the tariffs on goods coming from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Happy to see the decision on the full lifting of tariffs by the Kosovo caretaker government for goods coming from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is an important decision. Regional cooperation is key as is maintaining the flow of goods, in particular in times of crisis [such as] COVID-19,” Borell said on Twitter commenting on the Kosovo government decision.
Kosovo outgoing premier Albin Kurti announced on March 31 that his government had decided to lift the tariffs on the goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the introduction of reciprocity measures in trade with Serbia.
The decision went into effect on March 31, midnight, and will last until June 15, when its results will be assessed.
