The presidents of Serbia and Bulgaria, Aleksandar Vucic and Rumen Radev, respectively, in a telephone conversation on April 15 underlined the existence of mutual solidarity and support in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic and exchanged experience on the measures applied to contain its spread.
They also expressed the belief that Serbia and Bulgaria will be successful in dealing with the challenges posed by the pandemic and will continue to cooperate in the spirit of good neighborly relations, especially when it comes to economic issues, which includes assistance in eliminating the economic consequences of the health crisis, Vucic’s Office has announced.
Radev said that Belgrade has Bulgaria’s support on its European integration path adding that he hopes the EU will assist Serbia, the candidate country, not only in emergency funds to fight the epidemic, but also to help the country’s economic recovery later on, the press release said.
