Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on April 27 spoke on the phone with British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, asking him to convey his cordial compliments to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his best wishes to continue to lead the UK's government with renewed energy, read a press release issued by Vucic's office.
Vucic and Raab discussed cooperation between the two countries in facing the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Raab thanked Vucic for assistance in the return of British citizens home from Serbia, the statement noted.
Vucic said Serbia wanted to establish strategic relations with the UK, particularly important since Brexit, the press release read further.
The two officials expressed interest in bolstering economic cooperation between the two states, and cooperation in other areas of mutual interest, the press release added.
