The European Union's special representative for normalization talks between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, said on July 12 that a video conference between representatives of Serbia, Kosovo and the Union had produced an agreement on the key elements of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
Lajcak said after the conference that the parties had also agreed on the agenda for the next meeting in Brussels, on July 16. "I am glad to be able to say that the EU-mediated dialogue on the overall normalization of relations between Serbia and Kosovo has been restored after 20 months," Lajcak said, thanking Serbia and Kosovo for their "constructive engagement."
Aside from the EU envoy, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdulah Hoti and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell participated in the conference.
Borrell and Lajcak held separate meetings with Hoti and Vucic ahead of the conference. During the trilateral meeting Vucic announced that the themes of the next meeting in Brussels had been defined.
"The EU-mediated dialogue has continued after 20 months. The themes of the meeting in Brussels next Thursday (July 16) have been arranged as well," Vucic said on Instagram.
