Montenegro's National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases has allowed, ahead of the general election scheduled for Aug. 30, gatherings of up to 100 individuals outdoors and up to 50 indoors, with political entities responsible for organizing and following the appropriate measures during such gatherings.

The Coordinating Body has also recommended to the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Public Health to prepare and define grounds for the beginning of the school year in regular time and at full capacity.

The body has proposed that the Ministry of Health make amendments to the appropriate orders and thereby enable political rallies indoors and outdoors, with restrictions on the number of participants and the mandatory implementation of prescribed epidemiological measures - keeping a distance, hand washing and wearing protective masks.

Keeping in mind the upcoming international sporting events, as well as considerable interest shown by foreign media and foreign observation missions in the electoral process in Montenegro, the National Coordinating Body has suggested that special conditions be defined to enable the unobstructed entry into and stay in Montenegro of the aforementioned entities in a manner that ensures optimal health protection.
