In the past 24 hours in Serbia two persons died of the coronavirus in Serbia bringing the death toll to 715.
According to a post on the Serbian Ministry of Health's website on Sept. 1, 7,509 people were tested for the virus over the past 24 hours of whom 76 tested positive.
A total of 579 patients have been hospitalized of whom 48 are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, a total of 938,546 people have been tested for the virus of whom 31,482 were found to be positive.
Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases director in Belgrade Goran Stevanovic has said that gatherings related to the start of the school year were essential. "We need to support this maximally and observe measures," Stevanovic said.
