Croatian Democratic Union: Belgrade Meeting Discussed Rights of Constituent Peoples, Legitimate Reps

The meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Milorad Dodik, the Serb member of the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Dragan Covic, the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina and deputy chairman of the House of Peoples, had concluded that all constituent peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina had to be respected, as well as their rights, stands and legitimate political representatives, the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina said in a release on Oct. 13.

It was also concluded that the economic recovery plan for the Western Balkans and the development of relations in the region would contribute to economic competitiveness and economic strengthening. 

“The EU plan, worth EUR9 billion, has yet again demonstrated a great effort of European partners toward strengthening the Western Balkans and speeding up post-Covid-19 recovery, and has also underlined the importance of regional cooperation and stepping up economic convergence with the EU,” it is said in the release. Covic said that Bosnia’s EU path was undisputed, underlining the need to further intensify the efforts on that path.
