The City of Belgrade has offered for sale Serbia's largest convention venue, Sava Centar, this time at the initial price of EUR17.54 million.
In a second attempt to sell the convention center, the city authorities scheduled a new bidding for Nov. 9, as announced on the City of Belgrade website on Oct. 19. The best bidder is expected to invest at least EUR50 million in the reconstruction of the complex, located on nearly three hectares of construction land.
A clause will be included in the sales contract providing that the buyer will have to pay 20 percent of the price for a failure to fulfil the contractual obligations, partly or in full. New bidders have until Nov. 6 to apply and pay a deposit of EUR1.7 million.
