According to the Nov. 12 announcement on the covid19.rs web-site, 19 people died from the consequences of the coronavirus infection in Serbia in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of fatalities to 955.
The number of the newly infected is 3,341 among the 13,008 people tested. Out of the 3,343 covid-19 patients currently being treated in hospitals, 151 are on ventilators.
The deputy director of the Clinic for Infectious and Tropical Diseases of the Clinical Center of Serbia, Ivana Milosevic, stated on Nov. 12 that the situation with the number of covid-19 patients in need of hospital treatment was serious, that the number of free hospital beds was diminishing and that patients from Belgrade were already being transported to other cities.
Milosevic stated that there was no rule regarding the age category of patients requiring hospital treatment for the coronavirus, and appealed on the population to adhere to the epidemic-suppression measures.
