Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Dec. 28 that preserving peace and stability in the region and the realization of national interests would continue to be the priority state objectives in the coming year.
Presenting plans for 2021, Vucic said that this would not be simple to achieve, keeping in mind the international and, as he put it, somewhat changed regional circumstances.
"The second objective is care for the citizens' health and how to beat coronavirus and enhance the health care system," Vucic told a press conference at the Presidency of Serbia.
He added that the third important objective for 2021 was "further improvement of the living standard" of citizens, both through the amount of salaries and pensions and through "investing in cleaner air, construction of better roads and railways, secondary network of gas pipelines, to a stronger army and police force."
