The epidemiological measures in Serbia will remain in effect and the spring semester, as planned, will begin on Jan. 18, the media reported on Jan. 11 following a meeting of the Serbian COVID-19 Crisis Headquarters.

The Headquarters’ medical team was of the opinion that the measures in force had been effective, and that is why restaurants and bars will continue to be closed after 8 p.m..

According to the media, the decision to extend the validity of measures is not time-limited, and they will be reviewed depending on the development of the epidemiological situation in the country.

At the same meeting, the Headquarters’ members unanimously voted against an organized celebration of the Serbian New Year on Jan. 13. In addition, foreigners travelling to Serbia are still required to have a negative PCR test.
