Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic left for Paris on Jan. 31 in order to, as he put it in an Instagram post on @buducnostsrbijeav, hold important talks for Serbia.
"We will have very important talks for Serbia, themes ranging from Kosovo and Metohija through Serbia's accession to the European Union (EU) to a subway in Belgrade," says the post next to a photo of Vucic sitting on the plane. The post ended with "Long live Serbian-French friendship!"
The Office of the Serbian President reported that he would be travelling to Paris to meet with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, and that the French president would hold a luncheon in honor of the Serbian president.
Vucic is travelling with a delegation headed by Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, who will discuss the construction of the subway with French officials.
During his stay in the French capital, Minister Mali will also meet with the French finance minister, Bruno Le Mer, the country's foreign trade minister, Frank Riester, and Minister of Transportation and Energy Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.
