The development of cooperation in multiple areas between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain will be discussed with their respective officials as he tours the two Middle Eastern countries, stated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in the evening of March 10, in Abu Dhabi.
Vucic, who will be leaving the Emirates for Bahrain on March 12, said that he will have “important talks with friends [of Serbia]” in both countries.
“Both the UAE and Bahrain have sent generous aid to Serbia during the pandemic. Although we’d had almost no interaction with Bahrain, they’ve sent us a plane full of equipment,” Vucic said for Pink TV, adding that “there are many topics” to discuss. The president also said that Branislav Nedimovic, the Serbian minister of agriculture, forestry and water economy, has joined him for this visit.
He will also try, Vucic said, to “draft a new green agenda for Serbia” during the talks on investments in the renewable energy sources with the Arab companies’ representatives.
Nedimovic, the president announced, will be signing a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain. Their visit is to end on March 14.
