Vucic Signs Contracts with Sinopharm on Procuring Two Million Vaccines

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had a video conversation on March 18 with the management of the Sinopharm company on the process of procuring new vaccines, building a factory for Chinese vaccines in Serbia, as well as the construction and furnishing of Serbian hospitals, the Presidency has said in a statement.

During the meeting a contract on buying two million new doses of the Sinopharm vaccine was signed. The signing was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo.

Vucic thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping, the leadership of the Communist Party and representatives of Sinopharm for their assistance in supplying the vaccine. He added that the majority of Serbian citizens had chosen this vaccine.

Sinopharm group president Liu Jingzhen has said that they company is happy to have been able to offer support to the people of Serbia in the fight against the virus. "We appreciate citizens' trust in our product," he said.
