People’s Party leader Vuk Jeremic has said that “there is only one dialogue” on the electoral process, which is the one to be mediated by the European Parliament representatives. He has added that the first round of talks will be held on May 6, to be attended by his party.
“The People’s Party advocated that the opposition be united in the dialogue and represented by two expert negotiators. Unfortunately, this suggestion was not accepted by all and that is why we have to hold separate talks with MEPs,” Jeremic told the May 4 issue of Belgrade daily Danas.
Jeremic said he would be on the delegation, led by the People’s Party, in the May 6 meeting. He described as “a farce” the recent meeting in the Serbian parliament on the electoral process, also attended by the Serbian Progressive Party leader and Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic.
