A Pristina-based publicist, Veton Suroi, has confirmed that he will advise the Kosovo government's team of negotiators during a dialogue with Serbia.
In a May 26 interview with Pristina's Klan Kosovo TV, Suroi confirmed that he had been hired as "an external consultant for the purposes of the negotiating process."
"We are at the government's disposal for the purposes of the negotiating process, whenever required. It's an interactive process, which, like any other consultancy, involves an exchange of opinions. This is only about the negotiating process. The government was offered a certain number of people it had sought, an agreement was reached and this team has been created," Suroi explained in the televized interview.
The publicist added that he didn't represent any political coalition, but was only offering his opinion. Suroi said the dialogue had to end in "a full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, resulting in an equal Kosovo living peacefully with its neighbors and opening its doors to NATO and EU integrations."
