The EU-mediated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina on the highest level will continue on July 19 in Brussels.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will take part in the talks that will also be attended by EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell and EU special rapporteur for the dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.

The meeting is expected to begin at 2 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. It was announced in Brussels that Borrell will address the press before the meeting and Lajcak after its conclusion.

The Serbian President’s Office has announced that during his stay in Brussels, Vucic will have separate meetings with Borrell and Lajcak.

Forum for Ethnic Relations Director Dusan Janjic said on July 19 that he expects some progress to be made in Brussels regarding the fate of missing persons on both sides. Speaking for Prva TV, Janjic also said that “this can be inferred” from the preparation of the meeting, adding that he expects that what will follow will be “the opening of new mass graves” in both central Serbia and Kosovo.

Janjic also stated that he expects a “small step forward” regarding the issue of the Community of Serb Municipalities, because so far Kosovo “has been ascribing its own mistakes to Serbia.”
