Political analyst Nedzmedin Spahiu on Nov. 23 said that neither Serbia nor Albania had any aspiration to unite with Kosovo.
"Kosovo will exist for another 100 years as no one is interested in taking it over, neither Albania nor Serbia. They are interested in ‘milking’ it to keep it the way it is now, but they are not interested in occupying its territory,” Spahiu told portal Kosovo-online.
Commenting on the recent statement by Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti that he would “vote for unification with Albania,” Spahiu described it as a hostile act against Kosovo. He explained that treason was when a person “who heads a state tries to see it disappear.”
“In any country, such a statement would serve to file charges of treason against that person and a prosecutor would immediately open a case against that person. To head a state and in parallel try to see it disappear is a hostile act against that state. The premier said it conditionally, he was not explicit, but any insinuation in that direction means treason,” Spahiu specified.
