Serbia and Israel have historic joint ties, therefore mutual cooperation and friendly relations are very important in enabling tangible, mutually beneficial economic ties, the ambassador of Israel to Serbia, Jahel Vilan, assessed on Dec. 8.
Speaking in Prokuplje at the working meeting with the representatives of municipalities and businesses of the Toplica District, Vilan assessed that the district possessed economic potential and that it was good that the construction of an economic zone was planned in that area. "I am certain that the Toplica District possessed great economic potential and it is very good that the construction of an economic zone is planned in this area, because it will provide additional great possibilities for economic development," Vilan stated.
He added that not all potentials should concentrate in Belgrade because Serbia is not a large country, and its economic and industrial capacities should be equally distributed.
